The 5th March marked Ash Wednesday, and the beginning of Lent for Christians. 

The distribution of ashes, made from the burnt palm leaves of last year's Palm Sunday, took place during three services across the day, each allowing students and staff time for silent reflection and collective prayer.

Our Chaplaincy Prefects were wonderful in leading us through our service, with one even distributing ashes to our Chaplain!
