St Julie's Students Feature on BBC
Staff and students appeared on BBC1 this weekend as part of a special Politics North West programme investigating mysogyny and violence against women.
During the programme Mrs Rooney spoke about our work in awareness training with Sixth Form students, before BBC Correspondent Claire Hamilton interviewed some of our Year 11 students about their daily experiences of misogynistic behaviour.
Mrs Rooney then joined regional Police and Crime Commissioners in the studio with journalist Anabell Tiffin leading a discussion about actions that are being taken to help address the important issue.
Our students spoke with confidence and clarity on a challenging subject and were a credit to themselves and our school. You can watch the programme on the BBC's iPlayer service.
