On Monday, 21st September, 2020 St Julie’s will be marking 6 months since lockdown – a challenging period during which so much has changed.
Mindful of social distancing, we are holding a service in the Chapel which will be beamed live into classrooms and offices around school. A small group of Year 9 students will take on the roles of presenters, performers, camera operators, vision and sound mixers.
As well as dance, a song and prayers, there will be a silence held to pay our respects to those who have died and a minute’s applause for local lockdown heroes amongst us.
While current regulations prevent us from singing congregationally, there will be the opportunity to SIGN along with a beautiful Makaton blessing prayer. (Makaton is a language programme that uses symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate.)
