What do you get when you cross Chemistry and a Gymnasium? Atomic structures with sports equipment!
Miss Moorcroft's Year 9 Science students practiced building electron shells of elements with hula hoops, tennis balls, shuttlecocks and the odd netball bib.
Working on such a macro scale gave our young scientists an immersive experience, allowing them to conceptualise atoms and their subatomic particles.
