Our school community united today in services to celebrate Advent, led by our Chaplain, Mr. Anderson.
The service incorporated prayer, readings and reflections from across time and space as we heard the story unfold through the experiences of those who there, reinterpreted by our students.
As well as beautifully performed choral pieces, the celebrations included the presentation of all of the recent donations that our students have collected for the Hope foodbank which will make a huge difference to those most in need this Christmas.
In his final comments, Mr Alderman made mention of the efforts of Year 9 who adopted a slightly different approach, collecting money which was then spent during a massive shop at the supermarket yesterday. The final till receipt was taller than him!
Thank you to all of our contributors today who have helped us to approach Christmas with a calm and reflective attitude.
