A Level Art will encourage students to develop an interest in, enthusiasm for, and enjoyment of all aspects of art, craft and design. Students are encouraged to investigate and explore themes that interest them and create exciting experiments and outcomes based on their personal research. Students are encouraged to participate in gallery visits and attend workshops led by practicing artists in order to provide inspiration for their personal projects.

Students will develop skills in drawing and painting, textile art including printing and surface design, illustration and digital art, and use these to create a dynamic portfolio of work. This will support course and career pathways in areas such as teaching, architecture, fashion, illustration and interior and graphic design.
