Year 9 Student Creates Hunger Cloth

After completing a written RE project on Hunger Cloths, Year 9 student Sophie Hassell-Richardson was inspired to get creative in her spare time and make a Hunger Cloth herself.

A Hunger Cloth is a large piece of cloth on which a few well-known scenes from The Bible are painted, with a picture of Jesus suffering in the middle.

All the scenes will have one thing in common: someone in the picture is in desperate need of help. For example, the person might be poor or hungry; or might be in need of love or understanding; or might need to be forgiven or need to be made welcome.

As you can see from Sophie's piece of work, it portrays the positive side of things and to always keep positivity as your mindset.

A wonderful creation!
