Notre Dame Kuje-Abuja Gets Ready for Launch!

In September, at the same time that St. Julie’s opens its doors to a new school building, the newest Notre Dame school in the world opens its door to its first intake of pupils – Notre Dame Girls’ Academy, Kuje – Abuja in Nigeria.

Sr. Maureen Okeke, SND, is the Headteacher and during her time studying at Liverpool Hope University in 2016 – The Year of St. Julie – she was a regular visitor to St. Julie’s.   Not only has the new school adopted a uniform very similar to ours, but some of our pupils feature on the exercise books that all the students will be using in this first year.   The honorary pupils are Simi, Grace and Charlotte.

In the latest images to arrive from Nigeria, we can see Sr Maureen with some of the first intake to the new school.  They are modelling the uniform and the day wear for when boarders are not in lessons.
